Acquires a majority share in the two German companies DIASHOP and Evivamed | Asker Healthcare Group

An agreement was signed in December 2020, to acquire a majority share of the two German companies DIASHOP and Evivamed, both of which are active in the German diabetes market. The acquisitions marks Asker Healthcare Group’s entry into the large German market adding 80 MEUR in turnover, further strengthening the Group's already strong position in the diabetes area.

“In addition to the two fine companies these acquisitions give us, they also mark the first entries into the exciting German market for Asker Healthcare Group. With these acquisitions, we take further steps towards our goal of consolidating the European medical supplies market,” says Johan Falk, CEO of Asker Healthcare Group.

DIASHOP is one of the leading specialist dealers for diabetic supplies and provides people with diabetes with their needs for therapeutic aids on a daily basis. With 34 diabetes specialist shops, the headquarters in Germering near Munich and the leading online shop www.DIASHOP.de - DIASHOP has a solid reputation in the market with a wide range of diabetic supplies and its focus on customer service.

EvivaMed is a leading EU wholesaler of diabetes products in Germany to the pharmacy market, diabetes retailers and distributors of medical consumables. Given the good relationship with its customers and suppliers there is great potential for Evivamed to grow into other product areas such as wound care, ostomy and digital support services for healthcare but also to expand to new customers.
Both agreements are subject to customary anti-trust clearance and the transactions are expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.

Entry into the Belgian market
During the same period Asker Healthcare Group has also finalized an agreement with QRS Belgium to acquire the activities of QRS in the Belgian market. This marks Asker Healthcare Group’s entry into the Belgian market.
