Asker donates medical supplies to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria

Turkey and Syria are in desperate need of crisis assistance after the enormous earthquake in early February. We have therefore decided to donate 380 pallets, or approximately 16 trucks, with medical supplies to support the earthquake victims.

The disastrous 7.8 magnitude earthquake and its series of strong tremors and aftershocks has caused over 50,000 deaths. It’s estimated that 1.5 million people are homeless because of the catastrophe. As a result, the people of Turkey and Syria are in desperate need of aid from the world.

To support the earthquake victims, Asker Healthcare Group will send close to 380 pallets with medical supplies to support emergency medical healthcare. This is made possible through our collaboration with The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB). Half of the donation is being shipped to Turkey and half to Syria.

“The earthquake is a tremendous disaster for the population in Turkey and Syria and I’m therefore very proud of our organisation who have made this shipment possible by using their contacts, dedication, and knowledge in emergency care and logistics. We sincerely hope the medical supplies will make a difference in healing at least some of the physical injuries", says Johan Falk, CEO of Asker Healthcare Group.
