ESG Focus Areas
Asker’s ambition is to take responsibility that extends beyond our own direct impact, which includes creating a fair and sustainable value chain – from production to use of products. This is expressed in our sustainability strategy “A Bigger Care”.
Sustainability is an integral part of Asker’s business strategy and goal to deliver products and services that improve healthcare by improving patient outcomes, reducing the total cost of care and reducing environmental impact.
Asker’s sustainability strategy “A Bigger Care” is also an important tool for delivering on the company’s purpose “Health in progress”, by mitigating negative effects on people and the environment in the countries where Asker operates.
The strategy is focused on three areas that encompass the company’s entire value chain - from production to final use.
By setting bold and ambitious goals in each of these areas, as well as KPIs and action plans, we can ensure efficiency and direction for our sustainability efforts. It allows us to have an even bigger impact on the planet and people as we work to improve and secure tomorrow’s healthcare.
On each focus area page you can learn more about:
- What are the challenges for society in these areas and how can we at Asker contribute to a more sustainable healthcare?
- What are we doing to make positive difference within each focus area?
- How do the focus areas relate to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact?
- How are the focus areas connected to the EU's directive on corporate sustainability reporting, CSRD, and to our own governing documents?
