Acquisition of Vegro

Asker Healthcare Group has signed an agreement to acquire 95 percent of the shares in Vegro Verpleegartikelen B.V., the largest provider of mobility and rehab equipment in the Netherlands.

“We are proud to be given the trust to continue to develop this family founded company that so many customers in the Netherlands turn to get support and to buy quality products from. With an aging population, and more patients being cared for at home the personal service and access to products to improve quality of life is highly important. Our aim is to ensure the customers can easily access a complete offering of high quality medical supplies, devices and equipment and with Vegro we have taken another step towards this ambition in the Netherlands. We look forward to support Vegro’s management team in their continued growth”, says Johan Falk CEO Asker Healthcare Group.

Vegro sells, lends and leases a broad assortment of medical mobility and rehab products to private individuals, nursing homes and home care providers in the Netherlands via service centers, online and directly to healthcare institutions. In 2022, Vegro had a revenue of approximately SEK 800m and 750 employees.

The acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in February 2024.
