Acquisition of the Swiss medical device provider Gribi AG Belp

Asker Healthcare Group has signed an agreement to acquire 80 percent of the Swiss medical device provider Gribi AG Belp (Gribi) from its current owner and CEO, Cornel Kägi.

“Gribi is a highly reputable niche supplier and will be an important addition to our group and our efforts to support the healthcare sector in Europe. We made our first acquisition in Switzerland a year ago, Smedico, and there are many areas where these two companies will complement and benefit from one another including broadening our total offering to our customers in the country,” says Johan Falk, CEO Asker Healthcare Group.

Gribi is a leading provider of medical devices mainly within surgery, ENT, orthotics and ostomy products to hospitals in Switzerland. Net sales amounted to approximately SEK 140m in 2021 and the company has had an annual organic average growth rate of 11 percent the past 4 years. In addition, the company sees interesting acquisition opportunities on the Swiss market.

The acquisition was completed 1 April 2022.
