Acquires Swemed - an online-based distributor of healthcare equipment and supplies | Asker Healthcare Group

Asker Healthcare Group’s subsidiary in Sweden has entered into an agreement to acquire the online-based distributor Swemed. The ambition is for Swemed's impressive growth journey to continue together within the Asker Healthcare Group. After the acquisition, Swemed will continue to operate as an independent company with close cooperation and support from the Asker Healthcare Group companies.

Swemed is an online-based distributor of healthcare equipment and supplies operating primarily in the Swedish market. The customers are municipalities and regions as well as private companies, schools and consumers. The primary sales channel is Swemed’s web portal. They offer a wide range of products (25,000+ items) from suppliers mainly within the EU. Through its focus on fast and personal service as well as solid relations with suppliers, Swemed has seen strong growth in recent years.
